Singer moved to physical therapy centre after viral illness, heart failure and stroke that left him critically ill
The country music star Randy Travis is out of hospital in Texas three weeks after he was admitted with congestive heart failure and later suffered a stroke.
A statement said Travis was discharged from the Heart Hospital Baylor Plano near Dallas, where he had been admitted on 7 July.
The statement from publicist Kirt Webster said Travis had been moved to a physical therapy centre for further treatment for a stroke he suffered on 10 July.
The 54-year-old singer developed the heart failure due to a viral illness, it was stated at the time. The stroke prompted surgeons to operate to relieve pressure on his brain.
Travis's fiancee, Mary Davis, said she was thankful for the prayers and support the singer received from fans and friends for his recovery.
The singer's health problems follow a series of brushes with police in 2012 including wandering drunk and naked in a convenience store and later being found lying near his crashed car.
