Japanese TV faces language barrier | Media Monkey

A Japanese viewer has become so incensed with the number of words derived from English sneaking into TV reports that he has decided to sue for "mental distress", the Guardian reports. Hoji Takahashi is suing NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, for emotional distress and ignoring its responsibility to use Japanese alternatives. The 71-year-old claims that he and other older viewers have been left baffled by some of NHK's content.
