After a cross-border Nato air strike that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers, White House spokesman Jay Carney said the US and Pakistan share an interest in fighting terrorism and should continue to work together. Carney said: 'We continue to believe that it will be not just in the United States' interest, but Pakistan's interest, to work with us co-operatively on our shared goals'
